What is an interesting fact about yourself?
In my spare time, I enjoy playing football and some would say, in another life, I would be a professional goalkeeper!

I have always loved IBD and academia for which there is so much scope for in gastro - mind the pun!

I have a particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease and its academia and am excited to take on the role of Vice Chair of GLINT.

I have always loved IBD and academia for which there is so much scope for in gastro - mind the pun!

I have a particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease and its academia and am excited to take on the role of Vice Chair of GLINT.
What is an interesting fact about yourself?
When my head is not buried in a book I love staying active: from weightlifting in the gym to hiking outdoors!

It's a fascinating and diverse specialty, offering a great balance of acute and chronic disease, clinics, procedures and ward work with multiple avenues to pursue from a research perspective!

Maybe fate given my name?! Haha. But seriously I love the variety, diversity and procedural aspect! It's one of the few specialties where you can be a specialist and excellent at GIM at the same time! :)

The cross-section between expanding technology in endoscopy, and rich depths to plumb by way of unanswered research questions has always excited me about our speciality.

I spend an inordinate amount of time pontificating whilst walking my dog, and insist on taking her with me to as many social occasions as possible.

I have a keen interest in addressing and tackling health inequalities. On a more personal level, I really enjoy interior design, and always keen to see people’s home projects for inspo and add to an ever growing Pinterest board of rugs, Etsy wardrobe handles and unconventional lampshades!
